Nicholas Dirks

Nicholas B. Dirks is President of the New York Academy of Sciences – he is also the Franz Boas Professor of Anthropology and History Emeritus, Columbia University, and former Chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of City of Intellect: The Uses and Abuses of the University.
